Another deck on Canadian Climate Effort

I spent some time at the OECD recently and updated a whack of folks on Canadian climate policy. I sat back and took stock of the global state-of-play. Apparently we are well ahead on policy design and implementation.

The federal carbon price floor is step change to align prices to mitigate the longer-term risks of an inefficient provincial patchwork. But the federal floor is really just a complement to (mostly) serious provincial actions. There are of course headwinds, but hey its climate policy. Its not like it is the climate winter that was the Harper years.
